Texas Monthly BBQ FEST 2019

One of the benefits of conducting the Texas Monthly ‘Cue Course is to attend the BBQ FEST to visit with old and new friends in the barbecue business, see current and former students, and to eat some of the greatest food around. Davey Griffin, Ray Riley, Brogan Horton, and Jeff Savell represented the Department of Animal Science of Texas A&M University at the BBQ FEST on Sunday, November 3, 2019. Fourth Texas Barbecue Town Hall meeting held

Owners/operators and pitmasters from some of the leading barbecue restaurants throughout Texas with a special guest, Jack Timmons, from Seattle, Washington, participated in the fourth Texas Barbecue Town Hall meeting, which was held at the Kleberg Animal and Food Science Center and the Rosenthal Meat Center on Monday, December 11, 2017. Faculty and students of the Texas Barbecue program at Texas A&M University participated in the TMBBQ FEST 2016 held at the Long Center in Austin, Texas on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Texas A&M University is a sponsor of the TMBBQ FEST 2016, making it the sixth year for our participation in this event.
